As another way to celebrate our church's 15oth birthday, the Berenstain Bears came to visit our Preschool! Aaron and I weren't aware of the fact that we live in "Bear Country"! Apparently, the Berenstain's live fairly close by. So, through a couple of "connections", Mike Berenstain (son of Stan and Jan Berenstain) came by and read from one of his new faith-based books. He then showed us how to draw two of the characters and their different emotions. We sang "Happy Birthday" in honor of the late Stan Berenstain and had cake. To finish the great event up, our church purchased a set of the 4 new books, signed by Mike Berenstain, for each child! It was such a neat day!
**Note in some of the pictures...Gabriel would not go near the Bears. Doug was holding on to him. When Gabe finally wanted to say "hi" to them, it was from across the room, as the bears were leaving!!!! Repeat of Disney World?!?!?!!?!**
