Play Ball....Fall ball, that is!

Round 2....

Nathaniel started to play baseball last spring. Two weeks into the season, he broke his wrist and was totally done. ;0( Fortunately, the same baseball group that he played for in the spring set up a "fall ball" program! We thought it would be neat for Nathan to be able to learn a little bit more about baseball now so that he's ready for it again in the spring!

Just to let you know how his first game went...
While up to bat for the first time EVER...(kid pitch, by the way!)...he was hit by the ball and walked. Every child after him was "walked" and Nathaniel was eventually "walked" home! While he was at 3rd base, he didn't pay any attention to what was going on around him, apparently he thought it was time to make conversation with his coach!! The pictures below will show you what the outfield was like...he occasionally would look up and check out his teammates around him and feel the need to say, "hi". The next time he was up to bat, he turned around and talk to the ump and inform him that his daddy told him to never swing at balls that were too high! Ugh!!!! ;0) It was a very cute, very funny, and a very "learning" experience!!!! We look forward to the many more games we will be playing! ;0)

First day of school...

Well...here we go again...another school year! However, now we
have a 2nd grader, a Kindergartener, and one in Nursery School.
Little Sam won't know what to do....having Mommy all to himself!
It's all so bittersweet. It's so exciting to see how different each of
the kids are. Some of them can't wait for a new year of school and
some can't believe they have to go to school! Based on the
pictures, you can decide who demonstrates each of those
personalities!

Adriana's 1st day of 2nd grade and Nathaniel's 1st day of
Kindergarten...

Here's the real reason for all the excitement....riding the bus!

Gabriel's 1st day of Nursery School...

Samuel thinking he's starting school!

Final destination....TEXAS!!!!!

Whew! We finally made it to Texas! Our dear friends, Brooke and Jon were such gracious hosts. While we were there, we stayed quite busy. We had an incredible time reminiscing, laughing, swimming, and seeing the many sights of Dallas/Ft. Worth! The kids had a great time getting to know each other better. In fact, not a day goes by (since we've been home) that our kids ask to see Bennet and Nathan!

Some of the many things we did and saw were: swimming, The Boy Scouts Museum, The American Girl Place, fishing, made homemade pizzas, saw where JFK was shot in Dallas (yikes), went to Ft. Worth and saw the cattle walking down the street, the kids did the maze featured in "The Amazing Race", rode a real and fake bull, and saw a rodeo! Obviously, we stayed quite busy!!!!

Brooke, Jon, Bennet, and Nathan, thank you all so very much for being such incredible hosts. We are so thankful for the opportunity to see all of you, stay with you, and enjoy so many memories with all of you. We love you all and miss you. Thank you, again!!!!

Enjoy the pictures....
