Happy Easter!

I absolutely LOVE Easter! I love the fact that Jesus loves us so much that He would die on the cross to save us from our sins. Not only that, but the fact that He conquered death and rose again! Hallelujah, what a SAVIOR!

I love going to church, (as crazy and hectic as that may be), and singing all of the beautiful Easter hymns/praise songs. I love having everyone walking around at church greeting each other with, "He is RISEN!" I love how excited my kids are...and not just because they get a ton of candy after church! I love how packed church is! I love that we had Grandma Gail here to celebrate with us!

I love getting all of us dressed up and matching!!! ;0) Can you tell that I really love Easter?!?! We had a wonderful day. The sun was shining, yet it was very cold outside. Because Grandma Gail was here, I was able to go to the SONrise Service that Aaron and the youth group put on at 7am. It was my first time going in all the 7 years we lived here! It was wonderful! By the time I made it home to get the kids ready for the 9am service, I found out that Grandma had all of the kids dressed and pretty much ready to go! I was, and continue to be, very impressed! We all made it for the 9:00 service...just in time. And, lastly, we stayed for the 10:45 service as well. That is our contemporary service. It seemed very nice...I had nursery duty for that one.

By the time we came home, there happened to be eggs dropped along the ground leading to our house and into the house. The kids went crazy and didn't know how to function with all of the blissful candy in their paths! We retrieved baskets for them and they were able to gather all of their little eggs. I had to ask myself...why do I buy them all of this candy?!?!

Soon after returning home, we left for our Easter Brunch. Aaron and I don't always have visitors at Easter time, so we made it a tradition to go out for Brunch. It was very nice and the kids actually held it together for most of the time...Whew!

Then, upon arriving home, the kids realized how tired they were and put themselves down for a nap. Um, right....wishful thinking! We put them down for naps and all but 1 slept for a few hours. It was little Sam who chose to stay awake for us and grace us with his cranky presence! The rest of the day was full of pure relaxation! It was a wonderful day!

I share so many of your sentiments about Easter. (Including making your own traditions when you don't have family around. How nice to have a year with Grandma Gail there!) Blessings! He is risen INDEED!
