Gabriel's Preschool class went to a local pumpkin farm/apple orchard. The older two kids were in school and Samuel got to go along for the ride! We had a great time...especially because we had great weather. Some of the things the kids did were: had a hay ride, learned about the different kinds of pumpkins and gourds, learned about how bees pollinate the apple trees and what bugs are bad for the farm, learned how the farm washes the apples and chooses which ones are good to sell, had a taste testing game where they were given different kinds of fruits/vegetables and they had to guess what they were, and lastly, they were able to pick their own apples and pumpkins. It's hard knowing that the older two didn't get to enjoy our day, and yet...it was kind of nice...special spending that time with the two little guys!
