It's Spring!!!!

Wow!  I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated our blog.....last post was Christmas!!!  Amazing!  Since the last posting, we've had a lot of things to keep us busy.  To top our list was the fact that we survived one of the snowiest winters in history!  Our kids are getting out of school June 16 because of all of the snow days!

We had two birthdays in January...Gabriel turned 4 and Samuel turned 2!  No big parties, just a fun time at Chuck E Cheese and McDonald's.  Only fine dining in our family!  Both boys got to pick where they wanted to go!

We were also very busy with Adriana and Nathaniel's participation in the UPWARD sports program.  What

an incredible program that is!  Nathaniel played basketball and Adriana was a cheerleader!  They both did a great job.  As busy as it kept us as a family with practices and games, it seemed to totally fly by.  Next thing we knew they were having the closing ceremony!   Each child was treated so special....I can't speak any more highly of the program!

 Next thing we knew it was Easter!!!  Melissa and Brian came out to visit us...a very short visit, but a great one for sure!  Melissa and Brian are expecting their first baby at the end of June, so it was so fun to see Melissa pregnant.  She looks so cute!!!  Plus, it was awesome because Aaron and I passed on most of our baby gear/clothes to them!!!   Hooray!  Thank you Melissa and Brian!  ;0)

One of the last big events this spring has been going back to Chicago for a family wedding.  We had some car trouble (hit a truck's tire on the way in and it tore apart the underneath of our car), but we were all okay.  We made it home again on Monday night...late.  The kids got right back in to the swing of things with school and events.  Aaron and I, however, took a little bit longer to recover.  It was a whirlwind of a weekend and lots of driving!

Now were are super busy winding down the school year and gearing up for summer/VBS!  So busy, yet having a ton of fun!
